RetrospectiveIt was the Little Engine that Could...more the "Big Bang" than anything I've been part of...and it was to be just that, a bang, followed by silence. The calm after the storm.
As most of you know or have summised, Karmic Tiempo remains a one-project project, another one-CD act in a world of dreams that remain dreams. Except this one took form, and became real to us, if for only a moment. That moment gave birth to our only recording, SYNERGY.
It was an intense, focused, and joy-filled time of creativity, worthwhile endeavor and just plain joy. The music was organic, spontaneous, fresh, overflowing with ideas, possibilities and fire. In the basement of an ordinary house in ordinary Patchogue, Long Island, something was happening that was far from the ordinary. And, we captured it. That's what makes this rare...not that it happened, because as musicians all know, the best moments happen all the time. But the vast majority remain uncaptured, undocumented, lost forever, except in the memory of a precious few, whose memories even fade with time. Except for this time. We defied the insidious winds of time and captured our moments, digitally. Time did not have it's way with us, not this time.
I have never had a more satisfying musical experience than Karmic Tiempo. It is, to coin a phrase, as good as it gets. Nevermind the realities of our individual lives or the viscisitudes and pirrana-like nature of the music business: the musical chemistry between Mike, Joe, and me was something that I may never experience again in this lifetime: instant, effortless, off-the-charts. The music pushed us individually and as a unit, and brought out the best in one another. It doesn't get any better than that. Everything else is pretty unimportant in the grand scheme.
And so, rather than comment on what never was (or why), I will instead always be grateful for what was, and is. Thanks Mike, thanks Joe, for the memories, for the music, for the synergy. It was time. It was karma. It was Karmic Tiempo.

So, Wazzup KT?Hi Gang. I know, what happened to you guys? Well, it's this way: we recorded this killer album (as most of you have told us!) and then...life got in the way! But hey, that does happen from time to time. What's important now is that KT is back in the groove, doing appearances and planning more.
